The New England Patriots are hosting multiple quarterbacks for top-30 visits in the pre-draft process to find their future franchise player for the position.
Yesterday, reports had LSU Heisman-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels in the building, and today, someone in the same position group is in the building.
University of North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is scheduled to visit the Patriots today (Friday, April 5th).
Most speculation has Caleb Williams as the first overall pick (Chicago Bears), but decisions are still being made over the second pick (Washington Commanders) and third pick (New England Patriots). Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye are projected as the next two off the board at QB, but their order is up in the air.

Drake Maye Visits New England, Patriots
Drake Maye has been an exciting name during the “Mock Draft” portion of the NFL offseason. His name has climbed and fallen often. Other players’ stock has been more of the reason, as Maye has consistently been in the top five players mentioned.
Maye blew away NFL coaches and scouts at his Pro Day at UNC and had a scripted 74 throws, 69 of which were completions. Of the five incompletions, 3 were true misthrows.
Jayden or Drake
Much of the Patriots’ choice relies on what the Commanders do with their second overall selection. It is speculated that if Jayden goes second, then Drake goes third. If Drake goes second, Jayden’s expectations would be drafted third overall.
The Patriots could throw a curveball if they are set on one of the prospects and decide to trade back with another potential suitor for a quarterback if he does not fall to the third selection.
The options seem to favor the Patriots. Their roster needs many improvements, including a better quarterback, so any direction they choose should benefit the roster.
