The New England Patriots have multiple different routes they could take when the NFL Draft finally rolls around. In my March mock draft, I had New England getting lucky and landing the best player in the Draft in Travis Hunter. However, due to recent rumors of Hunter going in the top three, my newest mock draft takes a different approach. So let’s dive into my latest, and final Patriots mock draft of the 2025 off-season.
Round 1: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

With the Patriots first-round pick, they take the best offensive lineman in the entire Draft. Will Campbell has been elite at the SEC level, and his tape shows that he has a huge ceiling in the NFL. Campbell’s combination of athleticism and size makes him a top candidate to protect franchise quarterback, Drake Maye. Not to mention he has the nastiness that is needed to be a great lineman in the league. His attitude and demeanor remind me a lot of Trent Williams, and if somebody lays down a late hit on Drake Maye, Campbell will be the first player in the scrap to defend his quarterback. This is exactly what you want from your franchise left tackle.
Trade! Patriots move up into the 20s from pick 38 to secure Ohio State Receiver, Emeka Egbuka

The Patriots need to be aggressive in the 2025 Draft. One way to do that is by trading up to make multiple first-round selections. In this mock draft, I have them doing just that. They move up from pick thirty-eight, into the twenties to secure a weapon for Drake Maye. Emeka Egbuka has been one of the most reliable targets in college football the last few years, and giving him to Offensive Coordinator, Josh McDaniels could be fun to watch. Egbuka has great ball skills and could be a great complement to current Patriots receiver, Stefon Diggs. If New England wants to give Maye a reliable weapon to grow and develop with, then Egbuka could be the perfect fit.
Round 3: Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

New England originally had multiple third-round picks, however, in this mock, they had to deal one as part of a package to move up for Emeka Egbuka. So with only one selection in round three, they need to make it count. Mike Vrabel and company decide to take a big swing, and select tight end, Harold Fannin Jr. The Bowling Green star showed he is a serious threat in the receiving game. Since the Patriots already have Hunter Henry as their tight end one, it will give Fannin some time to develop and grow. He could still make an impact as a rookie, as a gadget and package player. Dropping him into a Josh McDaniels offense could be one of the best landing spots for Fannin.
Round 4: Cameron Williams, OT, Texas

Texas offensive tackle, Cameron Williams, could be a perfect late-round fit for the Patriots. Williams is a huge individual with very long arms, perfect for an NFL offensive tackle. New England just signed veteran right tackle Morgan Moses, and his leadership would allow Williams to sit on the bench as a rookie to learn and develop behind Moses. Moses is 34 years old, so by the time he moves on, Williams should be ready to take over the right tackle spot.
How could this Draft class impact the Patriots in the short term and long term?

If New England’s Draft class looks similar to this, then they could be in good shape for the foreseeable future. They will have taken care of their hole at left tackle with Will Campbell and secured a weapon in Emeka Egbuka. Not to mention they will have gifted Josh McDaniels with a gadget player in Harold Fannin Jr. Overall, the Patriots need to hit on multiple starters in the 2025 Draft, and if they can do that, then they will be in a much better position to win for the future.
