The Missouri Tigers are coming off a great season in the SEC. While they didn’t win the division or the conference, they have a great foundation going into 2024. They have been adding weapons from the transfer portal and on Tuesday morning, got a huge one. Former Oklahoma offensive tackle Cayden Green announced he is committing to Missouri.

Missouri Tigers Land OT Cayden Green
It came as a shock to many that Green entered the portal. He was supposed to be the future of the Sooners offensive line but instead decided to test the transfer portal. Green was a top 100 recruit and considered the number one offensive lineman in the portal. They have a new backfield weapon who is likely happy to have Green blocking for him. The Tigers continue to add talent as they push to make some noise in the SEC in 2024.
2024 Outlook
Green will be able to face his former team in the regular season next year. The Sooners come to town late in the season and it is one of a couple of tough games on the schedule. Traveling to Alabama is going to be a tough game but otherwise, the Tigers have a soft schedule by SEC standards. If they can use 2023 as a foundation, 2024 could be a very special year for the program.
The College Football Playoff will expand in 2024. Could Missouri get in and have a shot at a national championship in 2024?
