Kirk Cousins has been a consistent performer for the Minnesota Vikings. While the team still doesn’t have anything to show for his play, it’s undeniable that he’s one of the core players that helped the team remain competitive in the six years he’s been there.
However, his gruesome injury during the 2023 season derailed what was supposed to be a make-or-break year for him and the team. Now that the offseason is in full swing, questions linger on whether Cousins is still the right man for Minnesota.
While his future with the team is still up in the air, he gave fans a look at his recovery process, which should make everyone eager to see him come back on the field.

Kirk Cousins provided an update to fans on social media about the status of his Achilles after he got it surgically repaired.

In the video, Cousins is seen running at game speed, testing the stability of his feet and slowly regaining his confidence. It’s a great sight to see for a QB who spent months recovering from a terrible injury.
Cousins was playing some of his best football before he went down with an injury against the Packers. In the eight games he played, he completed almost 70% of his pass attempts for 2331 yards and 18 touchdowns. If he continuously performed at this rate, it wouldn’t have been weird to see him finish the year with more than 4000 passing yards and at least 30 TDs.
However, the injury puts him and the team in an unfortunate spot where no one is certain what will happen next. His performance deserves a big contract, and there will be teams who will happily offer him that.
Until that happens, Kirk Cousins can only hope that his contract situation with the Minnesota Vikings works out favorably.
