Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy did not play at all during his rookie season in the NFL with a torn meniscus. McCarthy is only 22 years old.

It is going to be interesting to see how he developed while sitting on the bench behind Sam Darnold for the past season. Darnold signed a new three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason. McCarthy was the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Michigan.

Well, Rodgers will not be able to do the Brett Favre thing where he went from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets to the Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Rodgers will have to decide if he wants to go to the New York Giants, or the Pittsburgh Steelers, or retire. J.J. McCarthy starting in 2025 will be the right move for this franchise also.
