The Minnesota Vikings have officially entered the J.J. McCarthy era, with the former first-round pick set to make his highly anticipated debut as the starting quarterback in less than two weeks until the start of the regular season. However, first, the front office must trim the roster from 90 players to finalize its initial 53-man roster on Tuesday, August 26, at 3 PM CST. Unfortunately, the Vikings must make the difficult decision of releasing/waiving players who have fought long and hard for their whole lives to fulfill their dream of playing in the National Football League.
Without further ado, here is their initial 53-man roster, based on three separate groups: offense, defense, and special teams.
