Evans has made it perfectly clear that he wants a contract by week 1, or he will be leaving Tampa Bay next year. Mike Evans is a perennial 1,000-yard receiver who still has plenty left in the tank, and if the Bucs can’t get a deal done, which teams should be looking to acquire Evans? Let’s dig in and look at the three teams who benefit most.
#1: Evans to the Buffalo Bills
Buffalo has one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Josh Allen, but rumors are swirling that Diggs is not happy. In the case that Diggs wants out, he would be a good fit for the Bills. Tampa Bay could offer him and a few draft picks for Stefon Diggs, which would make perfect sense. Sounds far-fetched, but it is a possibility.
#2: Evans to the Cleveland Browns
Cleveland was highly interested in bringing D-Hop to the Dawg Pound, but things did not go as planned. This Browns offense is loaded, but if Cleveland could put something together to acquire him, the Browns would be contenders. If they were able to get a deal done, this offense would feature Watson, Chubb, Cooper, Evans, Njoku, and one of the best O-Lines in the league.
Just for perspective on the #Browns situation, Mike Evans has gone for over 1,000 yards every single season.https://t.co/JIRkgPmDi7 pic.twitter.com/aZhvaMcrK4

#3: Kansas City Chiefs
If there is one thing that Mahomes needs, it is a wide receiver. Kansas City is loaded with young talent, but a veteran stud like this would solidify their chances of returning to the Super Bowl. Let’s imagine an offense that would feature Mahomes, Kelce, and Evans; that is a recipe for success. But what the Chiefs would be willing to give up to acquire him is another story. The Bucs need help at the running back position, and Clyde Edwards Helaire is someone who is young and could provide depth at the position.
Final Thoughts
Mike Evans has surpassed 1,000 yards receiving for nine straight seasons, and while he is not a young pup anymore, he still has a lot to offer any team needing help at the wide receiver position. Other teams like Atlanta, NY Giants, New England, Chicago, and Arizona all fit the bill as well.
