Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert’s wife, Devon Mostert, became a notable internet star last week for her criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris in an Instagram post. The heated post took place after a spat between Harris and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over the handling of Hurricane Helene.
Harris began the controversy after she said DeSantis didn’t return her calls after the hurricane made landfall. Mostert echoed DeSantis when he fired back, accusing Harris of playing political games during a crisis. Mostert then shared a clip of President Joe Biden praising DeSantis’ response to a hurricane, directly contrary to Harris’ elaborated account.
Instead, Mostert didn’t hold her tongue, calling Harris “She’s garbage. Textbook trash.” and bemoaning the vice president’s accusations. She joked in a post that the ‘math ain’t mathing, sis’ as it didn’t reflect what was on the ground. It was personally affecting the Mosterts because they live in Florida — and the state was bracing for another hurricane, Milton.

“She's garbage. Textbook trash. No one has time, Kamala- especially not for her to say some bulls**t like, ‘we can be unburdened, by what has been’”

Devon Mostert Continues To Use Her Voice
This wasn’t the only time that Devon had strong opinions. Earlier this year, she spoke out about political matters like other well-known Miami Dolphins WAGs including Anna Tagovailoa when she praised former President Donald Trump for providing housing to 275 linemen at his Doral resort as Hurricane Milton barreled towards them.
Devon Mostert has definitely used her platform to voice her views on sports and politics. Some fans criticized Devon’s outspoken comments while others appreciated her candidness. In the play of political gamesmanship, it takes a strong outsider to stand up against unjust moves. This is not the time to take advantage of people to raise your standings in the polls.
