Mason Taylor, newly drafted tight end for the New York Jets, made his mama proud as his mother, Katina Taylor, shared a picture of him in his team jersey. In the picture shared by his mother, the LSU product can be seen walking on the field carrying a bunch of helmets.
Taylor was picked up by the Jets in this year’s draft and is considered to be one of the best prospects that the team has brought in during the offseason. Mason Taylor managed to grab 55 receptions in his senior year for the team, scoring twice, and will be expected to do more for the New York Jets in the upcoming football season.
“Rookie Duties,” Katina Taylor captioned the Instagram post of her son, Mason Taylor, wearing his team’s jersey and carrying his teammates’ helmets.
Mason Taylor’s acquisition is expected to help the New York Jets improve their record in the upcoming football season. The tight end’s role will be immeasurably valuable to the team as they struggle to redeem themselves after a disastrous couple of seasons.

After their season ended, the New York Jets almost immediately released their starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was unimpressive in his two seasons with the Jets because of injuries and other complications. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers showed interest in Rodgers and the veteran quarterback signed with him a few days back.
Mason Taylor’s Jersey Number Was Deemed Unfair By Jets Fans
Mason Taylor was given the No. 46 jersey after he joined the New York Jets. However, Jets fans were not all that happy that Taylor was given that particular jersey number, especially since he is a tight end. Fans took to social media to call out the New York Jets franchise for choosing the no. 46 jersey for Taylor, and the comments section was on fire.

However, Taylor himself did not seem too concerned with the particular number given to him by the franchise. After all, a jersey number is just a number. Mason Taylor has shown himself to be a hardworking player for the New York Jets during the offseason training camps.

According to NFL analysts and scouts, Mason Taylor is projected to be one of the star breakout players for the New York Jets in the upcoming football season. Apparently, Taylor’s presence will highly complement quarterback Justin Fields, since he has a habit of often throwing to his tight ends.
