Mason Rudolph is preparing for a strong 2025-26 NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the QB is keeping himself busy, he’s also aware of what’s happening off the field. Recently, Rudolph’s teammate Pat Freiermuth got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Cataldo.
The tight end took to social media to share images of his precious proposal moment with Cataldo. Freiermuth was seen kneeling down and popping the question to his girlfriend, who obviously said yes.
“Forever with you sounds good to me, cannot wait to marry you Jillian,” Freiermuth wrote in his Instagram caption.

Several NFL fans congratulated Pat Freiermuth and Cataldo, and his teammate, Mason Rudolph, was one among many. Rudolph’s comment garnered attention as he went the extra mile to congratulate his teammate.
“Boston’s Royal Family,” Rudolph wrote.

The Steelers’ QB and the tight end have been a great duo and they continue their strong friendship off the field.
Aaron Rodgers’ Contract Could Be A Threat For Mason Rudolph
The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired Aaron Rodgers for a one-year, $13.65 million contract. Rodgers was predicted to sign with the Steelers, and now he’s put Rudolph in a tough position. Before Rodgers came in, Rudolph was the Steelers’ No.1 QB.

Rudolph has not said much about Aaron Rodgers coming in to play with the Steelers. However, it’s clear that he’s going to be taking a step back and giving the first chance to the four-time MVP.
“I had a feeling they were gonna bring somebody in. Obviously, Aaron is at the forefront of the conversation for a long time. I won’t change my approach. We got one more week of practice coming up at mandatory minicamp,” Mason Rudolph said.
“It will be nice to get everybody in the building and keep doing what I’ve done my whole career. I’ve had plenty of adversity and found a way to battle through it. Stay ready,” Rudolph continued.

It’s going to be a battle between the two, but both QBs are focused on winning. The Steelers are determined to make a Super Bowl appearance, but their AFC North challenge will continue. Pittsburgh fell to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card round last season.
Rodgers alone will not be able to help them go beyond. It’s unclear as to how the Steelers will split time with Rodgers and Rudolph for now. Both players will be given opportunities, but the one who performs better will play a significant role. The Steelers will also want to make good use of their money given to Rodgers.
