Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Kansas City Chiefs are facing the possibility that two wide receivers could receive suspensions related to offseason activity. The Chiefs made a roster move at the position on Saturday amid news of Xavier Worthy’s arrest in connection to a felony assault case.
Rashee Rice faces felony charges for street racing following a crash that happened last offseason. On Friday night, Worthy was arrested in Williamson County, Texas. Worthy is entering his second season with the Chiefs.
Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice face potential suspensions

The Chiefs and NFL are “aware” of Worthy’s arrest and are gathering information. Worthy’s attorneys released a statement following the arrest, claiming the allegations against the star receiver are “baseless” and prior “extortive efforts” had been made.
With two Kansas City wide receivers potentially looking at a league suspension, the front office decided to bring another key wideout back in 2025.
The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing back Marquise Brown

Per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Chiefs are re-signing Marquise Brown to a one-year deal worth $11 million.
“The Chiefs are re-signing WR Hollywood Brown to a one-year deal worth up to $11 million, sources tell me and Ian Rapoport,” Pelissero posted on X. “Still only 27, Brown missed most of last season with a freak injury, but played well after returning for the stretch run. Speed staying in Kansas City.”
