The LSU Tigers finished the 2024 college football regular season with an 8-4 record. At one point, LSU was 6-1 and there was a chance that they were going to be a playoff team. Instead, things spiraled out of control for the Tigers and head coach Brian Kelly.

They lost star recruits, including number one overall recruit Bryce Underwood in the class of 2025. He is the top quarterback recruit in that class. Another team that finished with the same record as them this college football season is the Baylor Bears from the BIG12 Conference.

On Sunday, the bowl games were announced after the college football playoffs were announced. On New Year’s Eve, the LSU Tigers will face the Baylor Bears on December 31 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. The game will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
On paper, LSU is more talented than Baylor. However, the Bears have been rallying around head coach Dave Aranda this year. This game could come down to the wire.

LSU is such a disappointment

There are a lot of fans who are disappointed with the Tigers head coach this season. If LSU loses to the Baylor Bears, it will be interesting to see which fans will continue to complain about Brian Kelly as head coach. For now, he will probably be back for a fourth season. If he is back next season, he will be on the hot seat. Tigers fans want to see a win here also.
