On Friday, the Los Angeles Rams resigned one of their wide receivers after placing eighth in scoring offense last season. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the NFC West club inked speedy wideout Demarcus Robinson to a one-year deal worth $5 million. Robinson signed a one-year contract with Los Angeles last season. He will now stay with the Rams for at least one more year.
Los Angeles Rams WR Demarcus Robinson: Flashes During First Season in Tinseltown
Robinson signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams last summer. The Florida prospect played just 32 snaps over the team’s first ten games but saw an increased role in Week 11. He caught each of his two targets for 24 yards while playing 60% of the offensive snaps. He received a similar snap share the following week, snagging four passes for 55 yards and a touchdown. His playing time skyrocketed over the Rams’ final five games, playing more than 85% of snaps all but once. He recorded 17 receptions for 264 yards and three touchdowns during that span. Robinson also played well in the postseason, catching three passes for 44 yards.

Robinson resigned with Los Angeles on Friday after becoming a complimentary receiver next to stars Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. The 29-year-old played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens from 2016 to 2022. He caught 145 passes for 1,679 yards and 14 touchdowns during his six-year stint with the Chiefs. He has never missed the postseason, highlighted by a Super Bowl win with Kansas City during the 2019 season.
Los Angeles Rams: Looking to Have Repeat Success on Offense Next Season
Despite many pundits believing the Rams would struggle in 2023, Sean McVay’s squad went 10-7, earning a playoff spot in a crowded NFC. After an injury-plagued 2022 season, quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 3,965 yards and 24 touchdowns against 11 picks. He earned his third Pro Bowl nod. Alongside late-season standout Demarcus Robinson, the Rams and Stafford received a historic season from rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua. The first-year pro collected 105 receptions, 1,486 yards, and six touchdowns across 17 games. He set new rookie receiving records for yards and catches.
Meanwhile, All-Pro Cooper Kupp played well, albeit missing time early in the year with a lower-body injury. The former triple-crown winner posted 59 receptions for 737 yards and five touchdowns. The trio of Kupp, Nacua, and now Robinson are set to run it back next season.
