The Alabama Crimson Tide were subject to plenty of trash talk from one specific Auburn Tigers defender named DeMarcus Riddick.
Riddick was previously recorded speaking about Alabama, Jalen Milroe, and Ryan Williams during his recent media interview. Riddick made plenty of statements, including one stating he has never lost to a rival school in the past. The freshman linebacker also stated that Williams is “nothing special” and claimed that Milroe is an average player in his eyes.

Milroe and Williams had remained rather silent for awhile while the Alabama Crimson Tide fans absolutely tore Riddick apart. The linebacker turned off his comments on select posts on social media after the amount of comments that flooded into his posts were mainly negative attacks. Riddick doubled down, however, and even when given a chance to walk back his statement the linebacker stated, “I said what I said.”
Milroe, however, had finally had enough and responded to the comments after being asked about his thoughts. The quarterback stated, “I don’t know who that is” when asked about his feelings towards the play of Riddick. Milroe also went on to state that he is not really bothered by the comments, and will “let him talk” in reference to Riddick.
The two sides will finally clash this weekend at Bryant-Denny Stadium in a matchup that will decide the fate of both teams. Alabama could fall to four losses for the first time since the 2007 season when the Crimson Tide lost six games. Auburn could also potentially be put in a situation where the 5-7 team looks to find people to fire after such a flop of a season.
Can the Alabama Crimson Tide Roll Past the Auburn Tigers at Home?

With the Alabama Crimson Tide playing a game with quite a lot riding on the line, the Crimson Tide need to dig out a win against a strong opponent.
The Auburn Tigers have not blown anyones socks off this season, and truly have fallen far below expectations. However, the Tigers are still not a team to mess around with and the wins over Texas A&M and Kentucky prove so. Auburn has been a significantly better team all-around the board across the last five games, while the Crimson Tide have arguably been worse.
Quarterback Jalen Milroe is coming off of his worst collegiate performance to date and has had the toughest month of his career as well. Milroe looked unstoppable against the LSU Tigers as he picked apart the running weakness of the team. However, the quarterback followed that performance up with a three-interception game against the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Alabama Crimson Tide absolutely need the best version of Milroe they can get as the quarterback will be the catalyst of the game. The Tigers struggle scoring the football but may still find a way much like the Sooners did. However, the Tigers are not slouches on defense with two defensive lineman recording seven sacks a piece this season.
The real key to victory for the Crimson Tide is going to be the play of Milroe because he has proven to be the heart of the offense. When the heart of the offense goes down, the Crimson Tide do not really have another star they can rely on to pick things up.
