Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. announced on Tuesday that he would be stepping away from the team on Tuesday and was subsequently released from the team. In a post shared to his Instagram, Jones Jr. stated:
“I just want to say that I have so much love and respect for the Ford Family, the city of Detroit, my teammates and coaches. To be brief, I am stepping away from the team to take care of personal family matters. Although this was no easy decision, I cannot be the person/player that I need to be for this team as well as tend to my family from afar.
This organization has been amazing showing love and support for myself and my family over the years and this time is no different. For that I am appreciative. To my brothers and coaches, I will be rooting for you every step of the way! This is the year! Go get it!!!”
Lions running back David Montgomery is unlikely to suit up after suffering a rib injury in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He missed Detroit’s 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, which marked his second game missed this season. Offensive lineman Jonah Jackson is questionable to return after missing the past two games. Cornerback Jerry Jacobs is also questionable after missing last week’s game.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Detroit Lions Betting Prediction
The Las Vegas Raiders have struggled to score points. However, they are 3-2 when Jimmy Garoppolo gets the start. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions have struggled to score points in both games that David Montgomery has missed this season, averaging just 14.0 points per game. While the Raiders likely won’t win this one, they should be able to keep things close. Look for Las Vegas to lose by no more than eight points.
