Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens quarterback, may be one of the unluckiest players in the National Football League. Despite being playing since 2018 and winning NFL’s MVP twice, the 28-year-old quarterback is yet to win a Super Bowl ring. The player definitely is blessed with the right talents and is also a hardworking champ, which makes the scenario even more painful.
Recently, popular sports writer Kimberley A. Martin appeared on ‘First Take’ with Evan Cohen who asked her about what can be expected from Lamar Jackson in the 2025 NFL season Jackson was also quizzed on what Jackson’s future might hold for him if he fails to make it to the playoffs this year as well.
“The conversation will be that Lamar sees it as a failure and he should see it that way. I hate that word, but every single year the Ravens find themselves in this position at the doorstep of they have the best roster. This is a team that I have said for the last three years before Derrick Henry even got there, they have everything they need. Then you have, you know, Zay Flowers fumbling by the goal line. Like it seems like in those late game moments, they just figure out how to self-destruct.” Kimberley A. Martin spoke about Lamar Jackson on ‘First Take’ with Evan Cohen.

In the 2024 campaign, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens only managed to make it as far as the divisional round but lost to the Buffalo Bills. The quarterback and the team will be hoping to do better in the upcoming football season.

Lamar Jackson Hopes To Lead By Example
Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson made a stop by the ‘Cold as Balls’ show and discussed various topics of his playing style, most particularly shedding light on his leadership. Jackson revealed that he is not a very out-spoken guy and therefore, tries his best to lead by example.
“Just being a leader. I’m really not outspoken… I pretty much lead by example. I’m going to go out there, I’m going to work hard, and I expect that out of you.” Lamar Jackson said on ‘Cold as Balls’.

Lamar Jackson has plenty to prove in the upcoming NFL season with the Baltimore Ravens. The quarterback hopes to do more in terms of leadership, especially after his coaches have asked him to do so. Jackson has also been doing more one-on-one conversations with his players rather than group talks.
