Keon Coleman was the sixth wide receiver selected in the 2024 NFL draft. The Buffalo Bills used the 33rd overall pick to select Coleman. Here we will discuss what his rookie season could look like and how it will affect fantasy football.
Keon Coleman Fantasy Football Outlook for 2024

Keon Colemans College Career
Keon Coleman played his first two years of collegiate football at Michigan State University. In his freshman year, Coleman did not see much playing time and only had 50 receiving yards. In his sophomore season, he saw the field a lot more and had seven touchdowns and almost 800 yards receiving.
After his second season with the Spartans, Keon Coleman entered the transfer portal. Coleman wound up at Florida State where he would play one final year of college football. In 2023, Keon Coleman had a great season even though the stats did not show it. He had 658 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, even though he didn’t have a ton of yards, Coleman showed flashes that he could be a huge weapon for NFL offenses.
When the 2024 draft process started, Keon Coleman was projected to be a first-round pick, but as the process continued, he started to fall down draft boards. His strength was his ability to use his size to make contested catches, but he lacked top-end speed which showed at the combine. At the 2024 combine, Coleman ran 4.61 40-yard dash which was one of the slowest for all wide receivers. This basically eliminated his chances to be a first-round pick.

The Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills held the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft but traded back multiple times to end up with the 33rd overall pick. With the first pick in the second of the draft, the Bills selected Keon Coleman.
The Bills have completely revamped their team this offseason as they lost many key players including wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. This left the Bills with Curtis Samuel and Khalil Shakir as their top receivers. Adding Coleman to this offense gives the Bills and Josh Allen a new deep threat that thrives at contested catches.

Fantasy Football Impact
With Josh Allen as his quarterback, Keon Coleman should be primed for a great rookie season. With the Bills run-heavy offense, it doesn’t seem likely that Coleman will be a 1,000-yard receiver in his rookie year. While he may not hit the 1,000-yard mark, it seems there is a good chance he could get to 750 yards in his rookie season.
Now the question is how Coleman will affect fantasy football in 2024. FantasyPros has Keon Coleman listed at 135th on their big board, which also makes him the 54th wide receiver. This seems pretty low for a rookie wide receiver who has a chance to be Josh Allen’s number-one option. Coleman is currently projected to be an 11th-round pick in 12-team formats, but I would select as early as the ninth right now. Keon should be a stash for fantasy players in the hope he turns into the Bills number-one option.
