The 2025 NFL season has not yet begun, but Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is already up for some awards. Indeed, his relationship with 14-time Grammy Award winner and international popstar Taylor Swift has made him one of the most popular athletes, not just in the NFL, but in the world.
There have not, however, been many stories involving the star tight end this offseason. This is a very different development compared to last year when Kelce was frequently seen out in public as he followed Swift on her famed Eras Tour.
Since the tour ended months ago, and because Kelce wants to focus on winning a final Super Bowl in what could be his last NFL season, the star couple has laid low this offseason.
Despite their absence from the public eye, however, they are still immensely popular, as evident by the announcement made regarding them on Thursday.
Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce and Girlfriend Taylor Swift Are Up for Some Awards
According to a report by People, both Kelce and Swift have been nominated for Kids Choice Awards. Kelce is up for Favorite Male Sports Star while Swift has been nominated for Favorite Female Artist:
“The couple that wins together, stays together!
“Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are both nominated for awards at the upcoming Kids’ Choice Awards, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.
“The Chiefs tight end, 35, is nominated for Favorite Male Sports Star, along with Jalen Hurts, Jayson Tatum, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Patrick Mahomes, Shohei Ohtani and Stephen Curry.
“Meanwhile, Swift, also 35, is nominated for Favorite Female Artist, competing against Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and SZA. The pop superstar is also nominated for Favorite Song with her hit ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.'”
Kelce and Swift combined to win four Kids Choice Awards last year, with the popstar taking home three of them.
The ceremony will be aired live on June 21 on Nickelodeon.
