The Kansas City Chiefs agree to terms with the defensive line
The Kansas City Chiefs had one of the best defensive lines last season and are set to add to it. The Chiefs accrued the second most sacks (55) in the league last season, falling only to the Philadelphia Eagles (70) in the regular season.
Defensive tackle Chris Jones was a major reason for the unit’s success. He recorded 15.5 sacks last season. The Chiefs’ defensive line is about to get another boost for the 2023 season.
According to Jordan Schultz with The Score, the Chiefs have agreed to terms with San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Charles Omenihu. Omenihu is set to receive a $20 million max deal for two seasons. Omenihu had a great season as a pass rusher. He had 16 quarterback hits and 28 pressures, and 4.5 sacks.

The Chiefs’ defense looks like it will compete to be one of the best pass-rushing units in the league next season. That unit’s success was a major reason the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
