The Kansas City Chiefs had a chance at making NFL history by becoming the first franchise ever to hit the Super Bowl trifecta in consecutive seasons, but that dream was dashed by Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59.
Still, it’s fair to say that the Chiefs are the envy of many NFL teams because of what they have accomplished in the last several years, largely because of generational superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. With Mahomes still with the Chiefs, one can expect Kansas City to continue to be a perennial top contender for the Super Bowl.
Kansas City Chiefs are near-unbeatable at home with Mahomes

Since selecting Mahomes 19th overall in the 2017 NFL draft, the Chiefs have enjoyed remarkable success that many other NFL franchises haven’t in their entire existence.
With Mahomes, Kansas City has appeared in the Super Bowl five times and won in three of those appearances. Since Mahomes became a regular starter in 2018, the Chiefs have won no fewer than 11 games in a season while ruling the AFC West every year.
Moreover, Kansas City has been nearly unbeatable as the home team with the former Texas Tech Red Raiders star quarterback.
According to StatMuse Football, the Chiefs have won “80.0 percent of the time at home in his career.”

Mahomes and the Chiefs will look to sustain that trend in 2025, as Kansas City also tries to reclaim their NFL throne.
