The Kansas City Chiefs took down the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, improving their regular season record to 13-1. While the Chiefs won the game pretty decisively, the energy in the stadium was lower than usual because of an injury to their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. Despite Mahomes being ruled out for the rest of the game with an ankle injury, fans are convinced that the quarterback is faking his injury.
Patrick Mahomes Injury
Mahomes took a brutal hit from a Browns defender in the pocket after throwing a pass, causing him to limp off of the field. He was even spotted being carted out of the team’s locker room postgame, showing the severity of the injury.

Fans in Kansas City were able to take a slight sigh of relief, though, as head coach Andy Reid revealed that the quarterback’s ankle is not broken, and it seems like a bad sprain that will be closely monitored week-to-week.
NFL Fans Think Mahomes Is Faking Injury
Despite not coming back into the game and the pain shown by Mahomes, NFL fans believe that he is faking his injury and making it seem more serious than it is. Mahomes has been one of the most hated players in the league and has been accused of cheating to get his team to win games. He has also dealt with ankle injuries in years past but has been able to come out on the better side of them.
Here is what fans are saying after finding out about the injury:

Time for the annual Mahomes fake injury so when he throws for 225 yards and 1 td everyone says how impressive it is for him to even be out there
