The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to win their third consecutive Super Bowl and despite entering Week 9 without a loss, the team has been dealing with a lot of injuries. However, they may have just suffered the biggest one as quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a lower-body injury in the third quarter of the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Patrick Mahomes was scrambling behind the line of scrimmage and threw a seven-yard passing touchdown to Samaje Perine. However, Mahomes went down with a noncontact injury and needed to be helped off the field. It was something that people do not want to see but he was able to walk off the field and limped to the blue medical tent.
Backup quarterback Carson Wentz was shown warming up on the sideline and we will see any updates when news comes out about Patrick Mahomes status.
