North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick, 73, and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, have been at the center of one of the most compelling stories in not only college football, but football in general over the past several weeks. At one time, the only things that was said about the couple were comments or jokes about the 49-year age gap in their relationship, but now those discussions have taken a backseat to other more concerning conversations.
While the head coach of the New England Patriots, Belichick was known for his no-nonsense approach to running his team. It was a style of leadership that helped him lead the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles, the most of any coach in NFL history.
But things do not seem to be that way at North Carolina, and many feel Hudson is to blame.
Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick Have Been Heavily Criticized

While there have been many questionable reports coming out of North Carolina regarding Belichick and Hudson, there are a handful that stand out as the most concerning. The first is that, when he was first hired, the head coach directed any emails sent to him be also forwarded to Hudson. Of course, the problem with this is that she is not an employee of the university.
The second, and most notorious, was the incident with CBS when Hudson frequently interrupted the coach’s interview with the network, leading them to leak one such instance of her interference when they aired Belichick’s segment. They also cancelled his schedule second interview as a result of her meddling and unprofessionalism.
This particular instance, highlighted by her saying “We’re not going to talk about that” when Belichick was asked how he met Hudson, has caused many reporters, most notably Pablo Torre, to do a deep dive into what exactly is going on at Chapel Hill.
In the weeks that have followed the CBS disaster, Hudson and Belichick have been trying to clean up their image in the media. The Tar Heels head coach even did another interview, this time with former NFL star Ryan Clark, but even that one seemed off.
Later, Channing Crowder, a co-host of Clark’s show, “The Pivot,” told WQAM radio that Hudson “choreographed” the opening to that particular interview. He later walked back on those comments, and now something even stranger has been discovered.
Did Jordon Hudson and/or Bill Belichick Have the Segment Removed?

John Mamola of Barrett Sports Media recently did a deep dive into the media “misadventures” or Ryan Clark, who created a stir recently with his social media back-and-forth with Robert Griffin III. In his report on Clark, he noted that the show on which Crowder claimed Hudson controlled “The Pivot’s” interview with Belichick had deleted the segment from all streaming platforms and its website.
“Did Ryan Clark ask to have that hour removed? Did Bill Belichick or Jordon Hudson ask to have it removed?” Mamola wrote.
As Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk wrote on the matter, “Bottom line? It’s all very weird.”
North Carolina, of course, has not even begun playing football under Belichick, yet its football program has received more national attention recently as a result of Hudson than it has had in years, maybe ever.
And while they seem to be tolerating the soap opera going on around them, one cannot deny that what Florio wrote is true: this is all very weird.
