JJ Watt, former Houston Texans defensive end, a few years back seemed to regret not doing more to help his team and his teammate, Deshaun Watson win more games in the 2020 NFL season. Watt was caught on camera apologizing to Watson as the two players walked off the grass.
Watt played for the Houston Texans from 2011 to 2020, while Watson played for the team from 2017 to the 2021 NFL season. Watt played one more season after leaving the Texans for the Arizona Cardinals and soon after retired from the game altogether. After his time with the Texans, Deshaun Watson joined the Cleveland Browns where he has been playing since then.
“Good job, brother. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. We wasted one of your years. I’m sorry. I mean, we should have 11 wins. “So if you can’t go out there, and you can’t work out, you can’t show up on time, you can’t practice, you can’t want to go out there and win, you shouldn’t be here. Because this (is) a privilege, it’s the greatest job in the world, you get (to) go out and play a game.” JJ Watt said to Deshaun Watson according to a clip shared by NFL Films.

Before he made it to the NFL, JJ Watt split his college football career between the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Wisconsin Badgers. The defensive end was crowned NFL DPOY thrice and made it to the First-team All-Pro five times. In his entire NFL career, Watt managed a total of 586 total tackles with 114.5 sacks.

JJ Watt Compared To Mason Graham By Leroy Hoard
JJ Watt has left a lasting legacy in the NFL, with analysts and game experts still talking about him long after his retirement. Recently, Leroy Hoard, former football player, could not help but draw similarities between rookie defensive tackle Mason Graham and Watt.

Mason Graham was selected by the Cleveland Brown as the fifth pick in the very first round of the 2025 NFL draft. Prior to this, Graham played for the Michigan Wolverines from 2022 to 2024. Hoard confessed to feeling Graham giving off JJ Watt vibes and called him a ‘beast’.

In his time for the Michigan Wolverines, Watt managed 46 total tackles, including 24 solos and 3.5 sacks. Graham is expected to be one of the best decisions that the Cleveland Browns have made in the 2025 NFL draft.
