Jerry Jones’ decision to bring in George Pickens from the Dallas Cowboys was recently criticized by sports media personality Colin Cowherd. In Saturday’s episode of his show, Cowherd trolled Jones for allowing Pickens’ trade from the Steelers to happen. According to Cowherd, this decision by Jerry Jones clearly shows off his ‘saving’ attitude.
Cowherd also reminded everyone of Pickens’ many controversies, for which he was criticized in the past. Back in the 2023 NFL season, Pickens was accused of unsportsmanlike behavior. The player has also been criticized for not being professional during practice sessions and missing training.
“This is a personality trait. Jerry Jones loves to save. He loves to give people jobs that need him. So when he goes and gets George Pickens, about whom the reputation is out….Jerry’s like, I’m here, I’ll make it work. I think this is Jerry’s wildcatting oil days, where he would hunt for gems and I think that is literally his mindset with coaches and sometimes draft picks and players. He feels like the rest of the league is out, I am in, and I think that’s why the Cowboys are where the Cowboys are currently in the NFL.” Colin Cowherd spoke about Jerry Jones on Saturday’s episode of his show.
George Pickens was recently traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a third round pick in the 2026 NFL draft. The trade was actually initiated by Jerry Jones’ Cowboys and surprised many NFL fans and analysts.
Pickens was with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2022 to 2024 after being selected by the team as the 52nd pick in the second round of the NFL draft. In the previous NFL season, the wide receiver contributed 59 receptions for the team for 900 yards, scoring three touchdowns.

Jerry Jones Trolled By Jelly Roll At AT&T Stadium
Jerry Jones has borne the brunt of criticisms and accusations by not only fans and analysts, but even numerous other celebrities. Recently, rapper/singer Jelly Roll chose to troll Jones and the Dallas Cowboys at a recent performance at AT&T Stadium.

While singing a song with the lyrics ‘ain’t ever been no winners’, Jelly Roll pointed to Post Malones’ Dallas Cowboys jersey, referring to the team’s long championship drought. To be exact, the Cowboys have a 29-year conference championship drought. The Miami Dolphins and the Cleveland Browns are facing a much longer drought when compared to the Cowboys.
