A potential debate between Vice President JD Vance and analyst Stephen A. Smith would be “an intellectual mismatch,” at least according to one co-host of Jason Whitlock.
In one of the recent episodes of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock had his co-host and boxing analyst Steve Kim give his honest opinion on the idea of Vice President JD Vance and analyst Stephen A. Smith going out against each other in a presidential debate.
For Kim, the difference in terms of capabilities between the two could be described as an “intellectual mismatch.”
“To your point about JD Vance, who’s an absolute pistol,” Kim said. “A JD Vance [and] Stephen A. Smith debate, I’m kind of debating myself. Would it be a quick kill like Mike Tyson, Michael Spinx, which I think went all of 91 seconds, or would it be a prolonged beatdown like Larry Holmes against Randall Tex Cobb?”
“I couldn’t agree with you more. That would be an absolute intellectual mismatch with those two on the stage,” he added. “I would actually pay good money to see it.”

Stephen A. Smith has, in recent weeks, openly expressed his intention to run for President in 2028. However, he has nopt yet made clear if he intends to run under the Republican, or the Democratic Party.
JD Vance Gives Honest Opinion on Elon Musk, Donald Trump Feud
Vice President JD Vance had recently acknowledged the feud between tech mogul and billionaire Elon Musk and President Donald Trump, whose ongoing collaboration and relationship completely fell apart due to differences in how they wanted things to run, at least economically.
In a recent podcast appearance, Vance talked about the feud and acknowledged how Musk contributed to the government and how his initiatives were on the right track.
“My basic read on it, first of all, I’m the vice president to President Trump, my loyalties are always going to be with the president. Elon [is] an incredible entrepreneur, I think DOGE was really good. The effort to root out waste, fraud and abuse in our country was really good,” Vance told the “This Past Weekend” podcast with Theo Von.

Despite the fallout Musk had with the President, the Vice President still has hope that Musk would continue to work with the government in fulfilling his initial goals through the Department of Government Efficiency
“I hope that eventually Elon kind of comes back into the fold. Maybe that’s not possible now because he’s gone so nuclear—I hope it is.”

Vance himself was a former critic of Trump, and has openly stated in the past that he “never liked him,” even at one point comparing Trump to Hitler.
However, JD Vance changed his stance on Trump, eventually gaining his endorsement as a Senator and ultimately running and winning the Vice Presidency under his party.
