JD Vance, Vice President of the United States, made a shocking appeal to the Cincinnati Bengals to retain their defensive end, Trey Hendrickson. The Bengals and Hendrickson have been having conversations about a possible contract extension, which frankly have been going nowhere.

The defensive end has been playing pretty well for the Cincinnati Bengals ever since he signed with the team back in 2021. In the 2024 NFL season alone, Hendrickson managed an impressive 33 solo tackles for the team. It is true that both fans and analysts love the guy, including VP JD Vance. Vance has previously confessed his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, especially since his senator days in Ohio.

“That’s a million-dollar question—or I guess the $50 million question. Are y’all going to subsidize that? Hendrickson is worth it, dude. He’s a generational talent. It’s very hard to get a guy like that. I’m a big football fan, but edge rushers have become… It’s almost like where left tackles were 10 or 15 years ago, where everybody just realized there’s this really underpaid position that you gotta have. I think we’re going to have to pay Hendrickson. I hope so.” Vice President of the United States America, JD Vance said about Trey Hendrickson and the Cincinnati Bengals in his recent appearance on the Theo Von show.

JD Vance, although a respected politician who holds the second-highest power in the United States, is also known for his many controversial opinions. For example, last month, the 50th Vice President of the USA threatened tourists who plan on visiting the country for the FIFA World Cup with deportation if they overstayed, as a joke. However, his latest comments on Trey Hendrickson will surely be loved and appreciated by Bengals fans everywhere.

JD Vance Admits That He Understands Elon Musk’s Frustration

In the same podcast appearance, Vice President JD Vance spoke about the ongoing feud between the sitting POTUS Donald Trump and Tesla founder, Elon Musk. Musk has been taking repeated hits at Trump and his presidency after stepping back from an advisory role in the White House. Apparently, Musk did not appreciate Trump’s recent bill on tariffs.

Vance spoke at length about his loyalty to President Donald Trump in his conversation with Theo Von. However, he also voiced his empathy for Elon Musk and said that he definitely understands where his frustration is coming from. Still, Musk seems to be continuing his attack on the President without relenting.
