Jason Kelce recently spilled some tea about his childhood, growing up with brother Travis Kelce, on the latest episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast. The episode featured Donna Kelce, his mother, on a special edition for Mother’s Day. Jason Kelce spoke much about sibling rivalry, and how it is mostly the parents’ fault for this situation between children.
Jason Kelce knows only too well about how parents can avoid sibling rivalry among their children, especially since his own parents, Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce, took extra care to shower equal attention on both the brothers. The former Philadelphia Eagles center admitted that it was solely because of his parents’ initiatives that he and Travis Kelce did not have any sibling rivalry between themselves.
“I think that if you want two brothers to love each other, as parents, you need to go above and beyond to make sure that both kids feel like they’re getting loved and attention in the same amounts,” Jason Kelce said about sibling rivalry on the latest ‘New Heights’ podcast.
Jason Kelce is currently a retired NFL player after having played in the league for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011 to 2023. Before the NFL, the 37-year-old center played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats from 2006 to 2010. In his football career, Kelce managed to win the Super Bowl once.
Meanwhile, Jason Kelce’s brother, Travis Kelce, has been playing with the Kansas City Chiefs since 2013 after being selected by the team as the 63rd pick in the third round of the NFL draft. Prior to the league, Travis Kelce played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats, just like his brother. Compared to Jason Kelce, his brother has been a lot luckier in terms of wins and has three Super Bowl rings currently.

Jason Kelce’s Brother, Travis Kelce, Says He Never Got Attention From His Dad
On the other hand, Jason Kelce’s brother, Travis Kelce, seems to have some different opinions in terms of sibling rivalry. While Jason Kelce seems to feel that he and his brother did not have any difference in treatment from their parents, Travis Kelce seems to think differently.

In the same podcast episode, Travis Kelce said that his father, Ed Kelce, showed more attention to his brother. Apparently, Travis Kelce even went on to blame their father for a cut on his neck when he was asked about it at school.
