Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, hopes to get a fair deal amidst ongoing contract negotiations with the team. Chase, who joined the Bengals back in 2021, spoke to Laura Rutledge from ESPN and discussed what he hoped to get from the team as the current NFL season winds up.
The Cincinnati Bengals did very well with Ja’Marr Chase as receiver and Joe Burrow as quarterback. However, the duo’s efforts went in vain as the Bengals finished the 2024 NFL season with nine wins and eight defeats. In their very last game of the season, the Bengals were paired with the Pittsburgh Steelers and lost the game with a close score of 19-17.
“I hope I get what’s fair at the end of the day — what my worth is at the end of the day. Hopefully I don’t put too much pressure on anybody, I just want it to be fair.” Ja’Marr Chase said to Laura Rutledge from ESPN.
Ja’Marr Chase was the no. 5 pick in the 1st round of the 2021 NFL draft and was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals. Before the NFL, Chase played college football for the LSU Tigers from 2018 to 2020. In the 2024 NFL season, Chase managed a whopping 127 receptions for 1,708 yards, scoring 17 touchdowns. With his stats, Chase is currently leading the league in catches, receiving yards as well as touchdowns.
Ja’Marr Chase Roots For Philadelphia Eagles To Win Super Bowl
In other news, Ja’Marr Chase is supporting the Philadelphia Eagles to win in the upcoming Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. In a recent interview with NFL Live, the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver went on to endorse the Eagles, mainly because of their running back, Saquon Barkley.
Barkley has been one of the main stars of the Philadelphia Eagles this season, and has contributed 345 carries for 2,005 yards, scoring 13 touchdowns. With Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts’ help, the Philadelphia Eagles scored a ticket to the Super Bowl after defeating the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game.
“Everyone knows I’m not a KC fan, so I’m hoping Saquon rushes for like 200 this game.” Ja’Marr Chase told NFL Live.
Chase also continued that he is expecting the game to be very impressive in terms of performance, especially since both the teams are quite fantastic in different strengths. The Kansas City Chiefs will be locking horns with the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9th for the Super Bowl.
