The Jacksonville Jaguars have made headlines this offseason. They have not been shy about handing out large contract extensions to star players. This includes QB Trevor Lawrence and LB Joshua Hines-Allen.
Now, there is yet another key player on the Jaguars receiving a contract extension. Who is it? Read below to find out.
Jacksonville Jaguars Extending CB Tyson Campbell

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Jaguars and Campbell have agreed to a massive contract extension. This extension will result in Campbell receiving $76 million over the next four years. Of that $76 million, just over $53 million of that money will be guaranteed.
Tyson Cambell’s Career

Cambell has only played in the NFL for three seasons. He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Yet, he has made a good impact in his brief time in Jacksonville.
So, what has Cambell done over the last three years? He has six interceptions, two forced fumbles, and 203 combined tackles. Now, the Jaguars are betting on Campbell continuing this solid production for the next four years.
Other Notable Jacksonville Jaguars Contract Extensions This Offseason

As mentioned above, this is far from the first massive contract extension the Jaguars have given out this offseason. Jacksonville also managed to lock up two of their most important core players. These players are QB Trevor Lawrence and LB Joshua Hines-Allen.
Lawrence became one of the highest-paid quarterbacks annually in the NFL once he received a 5-year contract extension worth $275 million. As for Hines-Allen, he also received a 5-year contract extension this offseason. His contract extension is worth $150 million.
While Campbell’s contract extension will not be nearly as lucrative as Lawrence and Hines-Allen, it is still very significant. For starters, it locks up a key member of the Jaguars’ secondary for the long-term that they drafted three years ago. Also, Campbell is now the highest-paid CB in the NFL that has yet to make a Pro Bowl appearance.
Jacksonville Jaguars Moving Forward

With Campbell locked up for the long haul, this takes one less distraction off of the table for the Jaguars. Jacksonville is looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2023 season. After making a divisional round appearance in the playoffs the year prior, the Jaguars missed the playoffs entirely last season.
