Jack Del Rio’s Resigns As After Owl Arrest

In the early hours of last Friday, a quiet neighborhood in Madison was disrupted by a car accident involving Del Rio.
It is claimed that Del Rio was under an influence when he drove the car causing extensive property damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
however, the Incident was bound to affect Wisconsin’s football landscape profoundly.
The recent arrest of Jack Del Rio puts a dent in an otherwise successful evolution of the football legend.

head coach Luke Fickell announced that Del Rio is resigning because of the incident
Upon Del Rio’s arrest, Luke Fickell, the head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers, was quick to react to the events.
It’s unfortunate as he remarked, but someone has to bear the weight of such consequences: Del Rio “showed signs of impairment” and admitted to driving the vehicle. He was arrested for first-time OWI and released.
“He’s going to move forward and he’s going to resign and move on,” Fickell said Monday. “But it’s a tough situation. Decisions that all of us have to be able to take full responsibility for. So that’s what Jack will do, and we’ll continue to move forward.”

The University of Wisconsin, also, released a statement making it clear that they knew about the incident and are prepared to take such incidents seriously.
In light of Del Rio’s exit, there are concerns about Wisconsin’s ability to cope with this sudden coaching change especially with their next game against No. 1 Oregon which is around the corner.
While the team was on a bye week, the timing of Del Rio’s resignation could affect team morale and strategy adjustments moving forward.
