The Cleveland Browns confirmed Monday morning one of their biggest fears coming out of their Week 1 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
The Browns lost offensive tackle Jack Conklin to a knee injury during Sunday’s game. The Browns feared his injury could be season-ending but reported Conklin would undergo an MRI.
The Cleveland Browns lose Jack Conklin for season
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Conklin’s injury was confirmed to be a torn ACL. He will miss the rest of the 2023 season.

The injury is concerning for the Browns offense going forward. The Tennessee Titans 2016 first-round pick made the All-Pro team twice in his NFL career.
After investing in him to protect Deshaun Watson, Conklin’s injury is untimely for the Browns. He signed a $60 million extension in December.
The Browns will ask rookie Dawand Jones to step up and replace Conklin this season. Jones was taken by the Browns in the fourth round of April’s draft. He played for Ohio State last season.
