The Indianapolis Colts are in the middle of a tight playoff race. With an 8-6 record, they are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans for the AFC South lead. Right now, they hold one of the wild card spots. However, one big update could greatly improve their chances of retaining that spot.
Michael Pittman Jr. Clears Concussion Protocol
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen stated that WR Michael Pittman Jr. has cleared concussion protocol. This very likely means that Pittman will be available for the Colts’ Week 16 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Considering how tight the AFC playoff picture is, this could not come at a better time.
Indianapolis Colts’ Impact
What does this mean for the Colts? It means they will likely have one of their best offensive weapons available. Earlier this week, the Colts were small favorites over the Falcons. Since then, the line has flipped in the Falcons’ favor. However, this should only improve the Colts’ chances of winning the game.
How has Pittman done this season? He has played in all 14 games this season. In those 14 games, Pittman has 1,062 receiving yards and four touchdown receptions. Now, he will look to add to those numbers on Sunday.
