NFL defensive back Camryn Bynum is starting a new chapter in his football career, as he goes from the Minnesota Vikings to the Indianapolis Colts. Bynum played his first four seasons in the pros with the Vikings, with whom he turned heads with his solid defense downfield.
Over the offseason, Bynum, who played college football for the California Golden Bears, inked a four-year, $60 million deal with the Colts, whose signing of the cornerback helps address the team’s issue against the pass. In the 2024 season, the Colts ranked just 26th in the NFL with 229.4 passing yards allowed per contest and only 24th with a 6.20 percent defensive interception rate.
Another thing to know about Bynum is that he’s always proud of his Filipino roots. His mother is from the Philippines, and he always shares content via his social media channels about his Filipino heritage and travels to the Southeast Asian country. As such, it’s not surprising to learn that Bynum has deep admiration for arguably the greatest Filipino athlete ever in the form of Manny Pacquiao.
Indianapolis Colts’ Bynum posts about Packers before championship fight

Bynum had one of his dreams come true recently when he got to train alongside Pacquiao, who is preparing for a World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight championship bout against Mario Barrios on July 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“1 week until greatness returns 🇵🇭🐐🥊,” Bynum wrote as a caption for his post on Instagram that shows him inside the ring with the only eight-division boxing champion in history.

Bynum can certainly take inspiration from Pacquiao, who, despite being already 46 years old, still apparently has the thirst for even more greatness.
