The Indianapolis Colts couldn’t help but send a congratulatory message to their pro sports brethren in the Indiana Pacers Tuesday night when Tyrese Haliburton and company finally secured a seat in the Eastern Conference finals of the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
The Pacers did so by defeating the Donovan Mitchell-led Cleveland Cavaliers on the road to the tune of a 114-105 score to win the series in just five games.
“PACERS IN 5️⃣,” the Colts wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) along with a video showing defensive back JuJu Brents and wide receiver Josh Downs sending a messag to Indiana.
“Shoutout to the Pacers, man, Brents said.
“Haliburton is like that. Confirmed,” declared Downs,” while someone in the background can be heard saying “Pacers in five”.

Can the Indianapolis Colts follow the Pacers’ lead?

The Pacers entered the 2024-25 NBA season already considered as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference but not many expected them to go this deep again in the playoffs, just like they did in the 2023-25 campaign.
But here they are, already waiting for who their next opponent will be, with the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics still battling it out in the second round of the playoffs.
The Colts are also not viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the 2025 season. However, they can surprise people, especially if quarterback Anthony Richardson takes a big lead in 2025 and prove that he’s a long-term option under center for the team.
