“I’m Never Gonna Forgive Tommy Devito”: New York Giants Fans Are Upset They Missed Out On Jayden Daniels In 2024 NFL Draft

Last season, the New York Giants had Tommy DeVito play quarterback because of injuries to Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor. Some fans wanted the team to tank for a quarterback, but DeVito led the team to some wins to finish with a 6-11 record in 2023.

Because of it, they had the sixth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and selected wide receiver Malik Nabers from LSU. The Giants missed out on quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Washington has had a lot of success this season because of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels threw a hail mary against the Chicago Bears and the ball was deflected and Noah Brown caught it for a touchdown to win the game on Sunday 18-15.

With the win, the Commanders are 6-2 this season and lead the NFC East. Before the 2024 NFL Draft, the New York Giants scouted Daniels, and head coach Brian Daboll knew how good of a quarterback he was going to be in the NFL.

Unfortunately, the Giants are stuck with Daniel Jones and hopefully, they can find a franchise quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. Some New York fans wish they traded up to draft Daniels or Maye in the NFL Draft instead of having Nabers on the team this season.

If the New York Giants drop to 2-6 on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they are going to have to bench Daniel Jones at some point. Tommy DeVito or Drew Lock may start for the Giants once again this season. None of these quarterbacks are the future for the team and they are a quarterback away from being a playoff contender in 2025.
