The Houston Texans came up short in a major test on Sunday afternoon against the Green Bay Packers, but general manager Nick Caserio addressed a need on defense to bolster that side of the ball on Wednesday.

After linebacker Henry To’oTo’o suffered a concussion two weeks ago, the Texans signed former Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl-winning inside linebacker Devin White, the team announced Wednesday morning.
White never played a down in Philadelphia, after signing with the Eagles in free agency only to lose out in the battle for a starting linebacker job to Nakobe Dean.

Why Devin White Could Make an Impact on Houston Texans
The Texans have built a defense that it is depending on being a backbone of a championship caliber roster, and White’s veteran experience and presence could offer significant upside.
Through his first five seasons, White has produced 566 total tackles with 23 sacks and three interceptions.
Once To’oTo’o gets healthy and back on the field, alongside White and Azeez Al-Shaair, the Texans’ linebacking corps has the potential to be significantly upgraded after this latest signing.
