Jalen Pitre enters the final year of his rookie contract. Due to Proven Performance Escalators, which rewards second to seventh-round picks for playing a significant amount of playing time in their first three years, he is scheduled to earn a $3,656,000 base salary along with a $4,579,079 cap hit in 2025. Finally, since he completed his third regular season, Pitre is eligible to sign a contract extension this offseason, per Article 7, Section 3 (k) (i) of the CBA.

According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Texans and Jalen Pitre have agreed to a lucrative contract. The deal is for three years and is worth roughly $39 million, with $29.156 million guaranteed. His $13 million APY makes him the highest-paid nickel corner in NFL history.
