The Ohio State Buckeyes have been in the college football news for major reasons over the past couple of days. They lost to the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday by a final score of 13-10. Ever since that moment, many Buckeyes fans have been calling for Ryan Day to be fired as head coach.
Ohio State finished the regular season with a 10-2 record and they most likely will be in the expanded college football playoffs. It remains to be seen if they will be on the road or host a home game in the first round.
Ohio State Buckeyes Athletic Director Ross Bjork Gives Vote Of Confidence Toward Head Coach Ryan Day
Day has a 66-10 record with the Buckeyes so far as head coach. Many wonder if he will be the head coach after this season and four of his losses are against the Michigan Wolverines. It will be interesting to see if Day is the head coach of this college football program past the 2024 season.
On Sunday, the athletic director made a statement about the Buckeyes head coach. Bjork said:
“Coach Day does a great job leading our program. He’s our coach.”
There is nothing else that he could really say with signing day right around the corner. There is a chance that Bjork could make a change after the season, but it feels like he won’t be making a move for the Ohio State Buckeyes football program for now.
Fans React
What’s he supposed to say right before signing day

His record is amazingly good if you don’t include the record he has against Michigan.

This will not be the last time that fans will be getting on the Ohio State Buckeyes athletic director for football head coach Ryan Day. It will only get worse if the Buckeyes go one and done in the playoffs and beg for a new head coach after this college football season.
