The Alabama Crimson Tide have been subject to plenty of criticism this season, in particular a handful of players have received the brunt.
Ryan Williams is a talented former five-star receiver who began the season with some of the more impressive receiving games college football has seen this year. The receiver has been dynamic, but also has had to adjust to collegiate football at times which has made for a few unfortunate misunderstandings. Often, Williams has been doing nothing but being a college student whilst having things blown out of proportion around him.
Williams was caught partying and wearing orange painted nails after losing to the Tennessee Volunteers, which many Crimson Tide fans were extremely upset about. With Williams being such a young player, many fans have jumped to the conclusion that the receiver does not take the sport or the games seriously.
Auburn linebacker DeMarcus Riddick on Alabama:
“[Ryan Williams] ain’t really nobody to me.
Every rival team I played I never lost to. I will not to lose Bama while I’m here.”

Recently some of the attacks towards Williams have been in regards to his play as opposing players believe Williams is an average receiver. Auburn freshman linebacker DeMarcus Riddick stated that Williams “ain’t really nobody to me” ahead of the game between the two teams.
Riddick went on to state, “Every rival team I played I never lost to. I will not lose to Alabama while I’m here.” The linebacker was not lying, as Chilton County defeated rival schools each season while the linebacker attended the program. However, Riddick never saw the glitz and glamour that Williams did on the field across the state of Alabama for Saraland.
The two never faced each other on the high school football field as Riddick and his team never won over five games in a season during his tenure.
Alabama Crimson Tide, Ryan Williams Gearing Up For Tough Final Game
While Riddick may think Williams is an average player, the Alabama Crimson Tide team and fans would certainly say otherwise.
The Crimson Tide have been stuck in an unfortunate slump but that should not take away from what the team can accomplish when hot. Quarterback Jalen Milroe has admittedly been playing bad football as of late, but the trust in each other across the board on the team is the boost that Milroe may need. The better Milroe plays then likely the better Williams will play as the struggles of Milroe have directly affected the receiver.
Does DL Tim Keenan think Ryan Williams is a “big-time player?”

The Alabama Crimson Tide are in position to truly prove many wrong as both the Auburn Tigers players and fans are already looking past the upcoming game. The Crimson Tide are certainly not the same team they have been in the past with coach Nick Saban at the helm, but one more dominant win to close out the regular season could be the boost the team needs.
