When Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch teased earlier this week that she was dating Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, she made headlines:
In a teaser for the next episode of her podcast, Welch announced that she would reveal her boyfriend, whom she refers to as “Pookie.” Sam Darnold’s image was shown in the post, leading to speculation that the veteran NFL QB was the mystery man all along:

Despite Darnold’s red hair contrasting with Welch’s description, fans are eager for her reveal on today’s episode. Welch has described “Pookie” as having “black hair and the longest eyelashes,” leaving followers guessing between Darnold, comedian Matt Rife, and country star Morgan Wallen.

But in the new episode of her podcast that dropped today, Welch revealed the identity of her boyfriend. To mock a line from the legendary Maury Povich….Sam Darnold is NOT the pookie.
In the end, the boyfriend is not a celebrity. This gentleman, Kelby, admits he likes living in a small town and doesn’t want to be in the spotlight.
As it turns out, “Hawk Tuah” girl won’t be making any guest appearances on Minnesota’s sideline any time soon.
