Former Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari remains a free agent after he was released by the team earlier this year. At one point considered one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL, Bakhtiari’s career was sadly derailed by a torn ACL he suffered during a non-contact drill in practice at the end of the 2020 season. Many Packers fans blame this injury for the team not being able to beat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game that year.
The injury cost Bakhtiari all but one [half-played] game in 2021 and kept him out of Green Bay’s Divisional Round loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL Playoffs. He played 11 games in 2022, often being kept out for rest and to manage his recovery.
2023, the first year of the Jordan Love Era, was supposed to be Bakhtiari’s return to glory. He absolutely dominated the Chicago Bears in Week One, giving the finger to fans, and looked like the five-time All-Pro that he was.
But he hurt his knee again, required multiple surgeries, and was out for the rest of the year.
Green Bay Packers Legend David Bakhtiari Supports a Particular Donald Trump Proposal on Social Media
During the last few years, Bakhtiari, like many athletes (and people in general) have not been shy about calling out politicians for things that seem a bit off. In his case, he has made multiple posts calling out Democratic congresswoman Nancy Pelosi for allegedly using her position in the government to make millions upon millions of dollars in investments.
Recently, Donald Trump was elected to serve as the 47th President of the United States. During a televised press conference, he said that he wanted to propose a Constitutional amendment that would limit the number of terms people in Congress can serve.
Bakhtiari liked that idea, and posted the following meme of Nancy Pelosi in response:
“Release the aliens from Area 51. NOW!” https://t.co/yyagb9eLbX pic.twitter.com/ZHP4jePDFq

Pelosi has served in Congress since 1987 and is on her 19th term in office.
Term limits for elected government officials is something that many Americans have wanted for some time. It appears that Bakhtiari is in full agreement.
