Only five players have won back back-to-back NFL MVP awards. Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the last to do it in 2020-2021.

The entire NFL world is waiting on former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to make his decision in regard to the 2025 season. At this point, it appears plain that his options are either to retire or sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Regardless of what decision he makes, Rodgers will go down as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game of football. Despite his disappointing two-year stint with the Jets, he had a storied 15-year run as the Packers starting quarterback, winning four NFL MVP Awards and a Super Bowl.

During this run, of course, Rodgers dominated Green Bay’s oldest rival, the Chicago Bears, and it appears that his two years since leaving the Packers have done nothing to dampen his competitive nature in regard to Chicago and their fans.

While Rodgers latest appearance on the “Joe Rogan Experience” has been making headlines recently, a live Q & A session he did in Austin, Texas last week has suddenly been making the rounds on social media.

During this session, a Bears fans asked Rodgers if he might just consider retiring instead of coming back to play against Chicago again.

Rodgers used the opportunity to absolutely lay into the Bears fanbase.

“What does every coach that signs with the Bears say? We gotta beat the Packers right? The Packers don’t give a shit” 😂

“I’m guessing you’re like the normal Bears fan. The best thing about Bears fans is that every year, they’re like ‘This is our year! This is our year! We added this guy and that guy! And, oh oh, we got a new coach from Detroit! Oh man! Look Out!’

“Packers fans,” Rodgers said to some Green Bay faithful in the crowd, “we know that, right? And what does every coach that signs with the Bears say? ‘We gotta beat the Packers.’

“The Packers don’t give a sh–.”

This discourse echoes what many have said regarding the Bears and Packers in recent seasons. While Green Bay is focused on competing for Super Bowls, Chicago is focused on beating the Packers.

If Rodgers does end up signing with the Steelers for 2025, he will face both teams at some point this upcoming season.
