Last Illini trip to the Citrus Bowl was in 1989. Jeff George led us to 31-21 win over Virginia.

Lanorris Sellers is a freshman star quarterback for the Gamecocks that everyone is talking about. He is one of the reasons why South Carolina made a surge late in the season. Junior quarterback Luke Altmyer for the Fighting Illini has also had a very good season as well for them and it could be a high-scoring football game.
