The Georgia Bulldogs, and many other college football programs, are focused on the 2024 class. However, to stay on top of the college football world, programs have to recruit for future years just as hard. The Bulldogs got some bad news from the 2025 class’s top offensive tackle Micah DeBose decommitted from the program.

Top Ranked Tackle Micah DeBose Decommits From Georgia Bulldogs
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive tackle out of Mobile, Alabama is one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the 2025 class. All the skill positions in the world don’t matter unless you have someone to block for them. DeBose has been committed to the program since January of 2023 but the Bulldogs signed six outstanding offensive line prospects for the 2024 class. DeBose most likely saw this and wanted to reconsider his options. He will have no shortage of suitors for his talents.
Not A Concern Now
It is too far out for this to be a concern for Georgia. He could recommit to the program at any point and the Bulldogs already have some top players committed. According to 247, they have the fourth-ranked 2025 recruiting class currently. Obviously, that will change a lot between now and signing day but the fact they already have some top-tier talent committed shows how strong the recruiting engine is in Athens.
The Georgia Bulldogs will focus on making it back to the top of the college football world in 2024. However, recruiting is important and the Bulldogs are starting to show some cracks.
