In the mid-2000s, Arkansas football was one of the best programs in the sport due to running backs Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis, and Darren McFadden.
McFadden was the Heisman Trophy runner-up, losing to Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith, and had the same fate in 2007, losing to Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.

The former running back was fun to watch every Saturday, but one fan didn’t pay much attention to McFadden during his playing days because they mistook them for another star running back who played around the same time.
Fan Mistakes Former Arkansas Running Back For Another SEC Star

Darren McFadden tweeted on Tuesday that he had a run-in with a fan and stated”Out with family and was asked for a pic with his favorite RB. He proceeded to yell “Role Tide, I loved you on the Saints” When do I say I’m not Mark Ingram…..”

Ingram played college football at Alabama from 2008-2010, winning the Heisman in 2009 and the national championship. The New Orleans Saints selected him in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Clearly, the fan also didn’t know that McFadden stands at 6 feet 1 inch, while Ingram is only 5’9″, so there is a huge height difference between the two.
It’s always funny to see other athletes get mistaken for each other, but at least the fan knew that he was taking a picture with a former SEC running back but just didn’t know which one.
