Florida was once a powerhouse of college football in the mid-2000s when head coach Urban Meyer and quarterback Tim Tebow won two national championships, but since then, the Gators have struggled in a brutal SEC.
Florida Needs To Have A Great Season In 2024
The Gator’s head coach, Billy Napier, is heading into his third season with the team and has yet to finish above .500. In 2022, Florida went 6-7 and lost in the Las Vegas Bowl, but last season, the team went 5-7 and failed to reach a bowl game.
If things don’t change this season in Gainsville, then Napier will most likely be out of a job, but the 44-year-old head coach got some great news on Thursday that should help him this season.

The Clearwater native enrolled at USC in January of this year, and then when spring ball ended, he went right into the portal.
