Emeka Egbuka, newly drafted wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was recently compared with another talented wide receiver, Chris Godwin, by his teammate, Mike Evans. Evans apparently drew similarities between Egbuka and Godwin, remarking that the two caught the ball in the same manner.

Egbuka has been clearly impressing everyone on the field after being drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the very first round of the 2025 NFL draft. The young wide receiver is expected to do plenty for the team in the upcoming NFL season.

“He looks like a running back, but he catches like Chris Godwin.” Mike Evans said about Emeka Egbuka according to Tampa Bay Buccaneers reporter, River Wells.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are definitely boasting a pretty talented team as of now with Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Tez Johnson, and Emka Egbuka as their wide receivers. The team’s offense will be headed by quarterback Baker Mayfield in the upcoming football season.

During this year’s offseason, the Buccaneers have indeed been pretty busy. During the draft, the Buccaneers brought in Egbuka from Ohio State in the first round and then selected Benjamin Morrison from Notre Dame as the cornerback of their future.
