The Philadelphia Eagles are known for having some of the most passionate fans in sports.  Their crowd isn’t afraid to get in the face of opponents and talk smack to them.  They aren’t even afraid to boo their own team on a regular basis if they aren’t meeting their expectations.

One of their former legends made the choice to not only defend himself, but his family.

According to Lou Flavius of Total Pro Sports:

The former NFL star made his way to Saturday’s game between Penn State and Ohio State and was seen toting beer to the game, with fans crowding him as he headed to the stadium.

Kelce mostly ignored all the folks calling his name, but one Nittany Lions supporter got his attention after he suggested Travis was a “fa**ot” for dating Taylor Swift.

The new ESPN analyst immediately turned back, grabbed the fan’s phone, and slammed it into the ground.

“Jason Kelce is the f***ing man! Takes a dudes phone and smashes it on the ground after he calls his brother a homophobic slur,” the Crossing Broad X account captioned a video of the incident, which can be seen below.

Fans were quick to defend Kelce’s actions:

we as a society should normalize Kelce’s reaction – One user said.

I stand with Jason Kelce – chirped another.

Well worth the incoming fine another fan added.

He’s lucky that it was just his phone that was broken.

It is certainly interesting to see the public defend Kelce’s actions.  It is certainly an interesting choice attacking a formal NFL player’s family.
