The next moves of President Donald Trump would be something worth watching, particularly regarding the issue of eligibility for baseball great Pete Rose to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. At least, this is what sports analyst and broadcaster Stephen A. Smith thinks of the matter.
In one of his recent videos, Stephen A. Smith raised the point of the potential bigger involvement of President Donald Trump in the sudden shift of the Major League Baseball when it comes to the issue of Hall of Fame eligibility for late legend Pete Rose.
“And now, you know what else we’re hearing?” Smith said. That the reason Rob Manfred may have come, we’re not sure, but may have come to this decision is because President Trump was pressuring him to do so because he’s been wanted.”
“So now we’re political now,” he added. “We had a conversation with the president and now we made this decision. Let’s keep our eyes on what President Trump does on behalf of Major League Baseball down the line. Because if it’s anything, then that would mean baseball really didn’t do this out of the kindness of its heart. They did it because they were expecting a favor in return.”
“That ain’t gambling, but it’s pretty much in the same family,” he added. “You feel what I’m saying? What’s good for the goose evidently ain’t good for the gander.
Pete Rose is now eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame, following a major policy change by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. Previously, Rose was permanently banned from baseball due to his involvement in sports gambling, specifically betting on games while managing the Cincinnati Reds in the 1980s.
However, MLB recently revised its policy, stating that permanent bans will now expire upon a player’s death. This means that Rose, along with other previously banned players like “Shoeless” Joe Jackson, is now eligible for Hall of Fame induction. Under current Hall of Fame rules, the earliest Rose could be inducted would be 2028.

Donald Trump Criticized Against Qatar Plane Deal
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has found himself at the center of controversy after news broke that he was set to receive a luxury Boeing 747-8 from the Qatari royal family. The aircraft, valued at $400 million, is intended for use by the U.S. Department of Defense as part of the Air Force One fleet, but critics argue that the deal raises ethical concerns.

While Trump’s Democratic opponents predictably condemned the move, what has surprised many is the backlash from his own supporters, including prominent MAGA influencers who have labeled the deal a “bribe” and an example of high-level corruption.

Despite the uproar, Donald Trump remains defiant, dismissing concerns as “fake news” and insisting that the jet is a gift to the country, not to him personally.
